A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

I ordered them on gooseshoes.org April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .

I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
They required minimal break-in time..
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also go with everything.

Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
